William Henry "Skeeter" Jamieson
March 4, 1926 - January 1, 2014

William H. "Skeeter" Jamieson

On New Year's Day, Bill began his eternal journey with our Lord and Savior after a brief illness. He joins his parents, Thomas V. and Mabel Jamieson, sister Jane Lanford (Dan), brother Thomas V. Jamieson, Jr. and brother John Warren Jamieson. He is survived by his beloved bride of 66 years, Jeanice and children Melinda Jones (Tom) and Hank Jamieson (Nanette). Grandchildren Jessica (Ryan) Dworaczyk, William Paul Jones, Emily Jamieson, Caroline Jones and Chelsea Jamieson and one very special three week old great-grandson Logan. Sister-in-laws and a host of loving nieces and nephews and their families are left behind to mourn the loss of this good man. Born March 4, 1926 in Wills Point, Texas, he served his country and graduated from Texas A&M Universitybefore starting his career as an auditor at the accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand. After retiring as President of Texas & Northern Railway and Lone Star Warehouse, he & Jeanice enjoyed many pleasant stays at their condo in Fort Collins, Colorado and several trips to Europe with close friends. Family was always a priority for Bill. He savored all the time spent with children and grandchildren. In later years, his church family became increasingly important to him as well. He and Jeanice were a source of help - both spiritual and financial for many years. Special thanks to the staff at both Doctors and Kindred hospitals for their kindness to Bill during his final earthly battle. Visitation will be at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday afternoon. A celebration of his life will be held at Lakeside Baptist Church, 9150 Garland Road, Dallas, Texas 75218, at 2:00 pm on Monday, the 6th. In lieu of flowers and in tribute to his lifelong philosophy of quiet charity, you may make a gift to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch or Lakeside Baptist Church in his memory.
