James Wesley Parker, 66, of Paris died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, at his home at which time Bright-Holland Funeral Home received him into their care. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan, 12, at the funeral home chapel, with Dr. Randall Perry and the Rev.
Paul Appleby officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Parker was born Feb. 7, 1935, in Waxahachie to Leon Thomas and Etta Hopper Parker. He retired from Earthgrains and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paris.
Survivors include his wife, Elise, whom he married Jan. 24, 1981, in Reno; one son, Scott Ball of Denton; one daughter Amy Scholl and husband Troy of Paris; one granddaughter, Erin Scholl and husband Troy of Paris; one brother, Tommy Parker and wife Barbara
of Sumner; two sisters, Diane Shiver and husband Sonny of Paris and Sandra Lancaster and husband Carl Lee of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Patricia Ann Lawler.
