Dr. F. , M.D.
Dr. Jack F. McKemie, M.D., age 95, passed away quietly at his home in Huffman, TX. on Monday, April 29, 2013. He was a longtime resident and pediatricain of Corpus Christi, TX. as well as a longtime pediatrician at the Santa Rosa Hospital Emergency Room of San Antonio, TX.

At his request, no other services or arrangements will be made.

He is survived by Jane Schmidt (daughter) , W.H. Mc Kemie (son) , Jack F McKemie (me class of ’86 ) , Katherine Pendergast , Joey Whelan and Elizabeth Schmidt and there extended family.
I believe I’am the only Aggie alive , His Daughter Martha Sue Mc Kemie graduated from TAMU around 1974 and also received an advance degree as well. We lost Martha 20 years ago however.

Jack was born in Mc Kinney Tx Oct 5, 1917
Graduated Hearne Tx high school in 1934
Went to the Agriculture and Mechanical college of Texas where he:

Member of Boxing , and Premed clubs 
Member Ross Volunteers 
And promoted to Captain  September 21,  1937,  by President L.O. Walton and Lt. Colonel CAC G.F. Moore His Senior Year he was Battery commander C coastal Artillery 

Jack went to the University Of Washington School of Medicine in St Louis M.O.
Joined the Reserve Corp as 2 nd  Lieutenant   (Coast Artillery)
Internship Barnes Hospital, St Louis MO
Residency Children’s Medical center,  Dallas TX
Pasted Texas  Medical Boards 1944 
Entered in the  the U.S Army  1945 and served as a
medical officer until discharged  (active duty) as a Captain in 1947 American Theater ribbon , EAME theater ribbon and WW2 victory ribbon awarded
Remained in the reserve Corp as 2 nd Lieutenant until 1952 
Senior resident Herman Hospital 1948 – 1949 
Private Practice in Corpus Christi Tx (became Board certified Pediatrician 1951)  and Finished his career at St Rosa Pediatric Hospital in San Antonio Tx.
