Margaret Williams Dotson, 83, passed away in College Station, Texas on June 7, 2013. Services are pending with Putnam Funeral Home in Kingsland.
Margaret was born in her farmhouse home in Concho County, Texas on December 10, 1929. She moved to her parents' ranch in Llano County in 1933 and graduated high school in 1947.
Margaret started college at Mary Hardin Baylor where she met JT Dotson on a blind date. They were married on September 9, 1950 just after she received her journalism degree from the University of Texas. She and JT then began a 21 year military career. She received
her teaching certificate in 1962 from South Dakota State University. JT retired in 1971 and they moved to College Station where Margaret received her Master's degree in educational psychology at Texas A&M University in 1974. She became the educational diagnostician
for College Station ISD, one of the first in Texas. Starting in 1980, she was the diagnostician in Llano, Texas and then in Burnet, Texas until her retirement. Margaret volunteered at the women's prison and Packsaddle Elementary. She was a lifetime member
of the Baptist Church and members of the Red Hat Society and Alpha Chi Omega. Margaret loved hummingbirds, bluebonnets and Texas A&M. Her passions were reading, writing, and family.
Preceding her in death were her parents, William Joseph 'Bill' Williams and Gertrude Ligon Williams. Survivors include her husband of over 62 years, JT Dotson; her son, Jay Dotson and wife, Frances, of College Station; her daughters, Debbie Jeanne Begnaud and
husband, John, of San Angelo, Texas; Donna Borsack and husband, David, of College Station; and Diana Bokelman and husband, Charles, of College Station. She has 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and expecting 2 more. Survivors also include her sisters,
Claire Nell Edwards and husband, Earl; Marilyn Davis and husband, Darr el; Linda Jewell and husband, Al; and brother W. Jay Williams.

DOTSON, Margaret, 83, retired education diagnostician, of Bryan, formerly of Kingsland, died Friday. Survived by husband JT. Visitation 2 p.m. Monday and services 2 p.m. Tuesday, Putnam Funeral Home, Kingsland.
