Fatal Milam Accident Victim Identified
(ROCKDALE) An Austin man died Friday in a 2-vehicle Milam County accident between Rockdale and Milano. DPS Trooper Jimmy Morgan told KMIL news that Ian Pogue, 19, died in the wreck.
The head-on accident occurred about 2:30PM Friday on US79 near CR234, just east of Rockdale. DPS reports indicate Pogue`s Honda CRV drifted across the center line, striking an empty charter bus. The bus driver sustained only minor injuries.
Morgan said the bus, operated by Todd Bus Service out of Manor, was on its way to pick up National Guard Troops in Lufkin. The occupants of both vehicles were wearing seatbelts.
