October 3, 1947 - August 28, 2012
Patrick M. (Pat) Gordon of Bastrop, Texas passed from this life on August 28, 2012 at the age of 64. He was born October 3, 1947 in Georgetown, Texas to Mary Alice Barnes and Thomas Weldon Gordon.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents and is survived by: his loving wife of 20 years, Diane Gordon, his uncle Charles Gordon, an older brother John Gordon and his wife Ruth; a younger brother Reed Gordon and his wife Sheree; and numerous nephews, nieces, in-laws and friends.
Pat was a former Bastrop High School teracher; he served on the Bastrop City Council; and was a well-respected member of the community. His work as a welding contractor can be seen all over Bastrop and central Texas -- the fence along the river at Fisherman's Park, the old Wal-Mart store, the Bastrop Assembly of God Church, as well as his and Diane's home and many, many other jobs too numerous to mention.
If you ever needed to find Pat early in the morning, you need not look further than the local coffee shop where he and several of his buddies met every day before they started work. When he wasn't working, you could find him on his riding lawn mower, or fishing, or just joking around with family and friends. Pat Gordon will be fondly remembered by the many lives he touched in so many ways....
