Paul Leo Rose
May 24, 1959 - July 12, 2012
Paul Leo Rose, 53, of Houston, Texas, went to be with our Lord peacefully on Thursday, July 12, 2012. He was born on May 24, 1959 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Paul was the fourth child of Russell George and Patricia Lee Rose. He met his wife, Diane Carol Turner
Rose on August 6, 1977 and they were married on December 27, 1980.
Paul graduated from Spring High School in Spring, Texas in 1977. He was recruited by Coach "K" for a basketball scholarship to West Point. In 1979, Paul played basketball for Temple Junior College, where he graduated in Pre-law. In May 1984, he graduated from
Texas A&M University with a degree in Petroleum Engineering.
Paul had a long and distinguished career in the domestic and international Oil and Gas Pump Industry where he achieved many successes, awards and acknowledgements. During his career, he traveled "coast to coast" from Houston, Texas to Abilene, Texas to Oakland,
New Jersey to Rowland Heights, California back to Houston, Texas to Montgomery, Texas to Athens, Georgia back to Montgomery, Texas to Portland, Oregon and lastly back to Texas.
Paul was preceded in death by his father; aunt Sally Cassady; uncle Art Cassady; and cousin Andrew Cassady. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Diane T. Rose; his son, Christopher Jordan Rose; his daughter, Melissa Rose Phillips and husband Chisem;
his mother, Patricia Lee Rose; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ernest (Pete) and Marilyn Emma Turner; his sisters, Teri Petersen and husband Bill and Dr. Mary Rose Duncan and husband Dr. Greg Duncan; his brothers, James Rose and wife Joanne and Robert
Rose and wife Laurie; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Ann Turner, Paul and Jenn Turner, Laura and Allen Brady and Linda and Philip Lotspeich; his nieces and nephews, Laura and John Curran, Paul and Mary Rose Petersen, Brianna and Russell Rose, Kally
and Andrew Duncan and Lexi, Logan and Thera Ricks, David Michael and Amy Turner, Austin and Abby Lotspeich, James and Jackson Brady, Raymond, Angel, Beana and Lucy Lu Rose; as well as other loving relatives and friends.
A celebration of Paul's life will be held at 3 PM on Friday, July 20, 2012 at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 5830 Bermuda Downs Drive, Houston, Texas 77069.
Paul could accomplish anything he set his mind to do. He had a brilliant mind and could calculate just about any math equation in his head. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family. He had an easy smile and wonderful sense of humor. He loved sports, especially
basketball and Nascar. Paul was loved by so many and will be dearly missed by all.
