Kathleen Diane passed away at home with her family by her side on May 10, 2012. She was born April 1, 1960 in Dennison, Texas to William V. and Eve Finn. Kathy graduated high school in 1978 from Converse Judson. She attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and graduated with a B.S. in Agronomy. She received an associates degree in Elementary Ed., from West Texas State in 1988 and taught 7th grade Life Science at Uvalde Jr. High for 14 years. She also taught 4th and 5th grade science at McGee Elementary in Corpus Christi, Texas from 2006 to 2011. Kathy taught CCD classes in Uvalde and Corpus Christi, Texas. Kathy was a Girl Scout Troop Leader in Uvalde for a number of years. Kathy was a devoted teacher who took great pride in watching her students blossom, while always pushing them to set high standards for themselves. She will always be remembered for her smile, energy, and optimistic outlook even during her long illness. Kathy's happiest times were spent in the mountains taking long nature hikes with her family. She never missed a chance to teach her children about the outdoors, especially when it came to pointing out birds and wildflowers.

Kathy is survived by her husband, James Bruce Henderson '83 of Corpus Christi, Texas; son, Roy W. Henderson '06 of El Paso, Texas; daughter, Amy Minges (Benton) '10 of College Station, Texas; father, William V. Finn '55 of Dallas, Texas; mother, Eve Finn of Dallas, Texas; sister, Jennifer Bushor (Scott) of Dallas, Texas; brother, Thomas Finn (Angela) of Denver, Colorado.

Honorary pallbearers are Roy W. Henderson, Steven T. Henderson, Robert McCleskey, Scott Bushor, Thomas Finn and Warren Henderson.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for memorials to be made to M. D. Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston, or Cancer Grace.org.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 14, 2012, at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Morgan Rowsome as celebrant.
