Roy W. Spears Sr.
ARANSAS PASS - Roy Wallace Spears Sr., a Korean War Air Force veteran, former director of Marine Biology Region 5 for Texas Parks and Wildlife, a field officer for the National Marine Fisheries, a former member of the Live Oak Country Club and a member of First Baptist Church, died Aug. 22, 2005. He was 74.
Survivors include his companion, Linda Dupnik of Aransas Pass; two sons, Roy Spears Jr. of Kerrville and Larry Bruce Spears of Aransas Pass; a brother, Gordon Spears of Aransas Pass; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 24 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery.
