September 29, 1957 – October 10, 2011
Patricia Barnes, 54, passed away on Monday, October 10 at her home in Brazos County. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
Pati was one of three daughters of Roger and Dorothy Barnes. She was born in Harlingen, Texas. She graduated from Bryan High School and Texas A&M University and pursued her career in education becoming a principal. Pati was in the field of education for over 20 years. Pati cherished spending time with family, visits with her grandchildren and caring for her cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Dorothy Barnes; and her beloved husband, Allen Eugene Denton III.
She is survived by her two children, David Dustin O'Neal and wife, Sarah, of Tomball, Texas, Erin Shea Guidroz and husband Jason, of Orange, Texas; sisters, Jackie Austin and husband Steve, Beckie Cimino and husband Richard; brother, Mike Barnes and wife Sally; grandsons, Jackson Humplik and Colt Guidroz; granddaughters, Grace O'Neal, Josie O'Neal, Emma Humplik, Bailey Guidroz, Jeslyn Guidroz; and other family and friends. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Brazos Animal Shelter at 5359 Leonard Road, Bryan, Texas 77807.
