October 3, 1944 - August 9, 2011
James G. Watkins was called to heaven on August, 9, 2011. He was born in Houston, Texas on October, 3 1944. James is preceded in death by his father, Irvin Watkins. He is survived by his mother, Marie Louise Watkins, sister Pat Dunn and her husband Skip, their sons and families: Jason Dunn and his wife Brandi, with their children Jake and Baylee; Adam Dunn and his wife Rachel, with their children Brady and Casey; Brian Dunn and his wife Stormee, with their children Logan and Kash; and numerous cousins and friends.
Jimmy was a sweet loving man with a quiet demeanor. He loved his family and was very proud of all of their achievements. His great joy was watching sports, mostly baseball. He also loved the outdoors. James proudly graduated from Texas A&M University. The comfort that we have, as a family, is knowing that he is now at peace in heaven celebrating with Jesus.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 12:00pm followed by funeral service at 2:00pm. Interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
