Rites Recited Tuesday for Buren Kallina

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nada for Buren Kallina, a long time resident of the Garwood community, who died on December 28. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. A. Petru officiated, with interment in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

A rosary was recited in the Triska Chapel on Monday at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Kallina was born in Garwood on June 5, 1925 and was 50 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Garwood; two daughters, Paula of Houston and Ava of Garwood; four sons, Kris, Craig, Paul and Pete, all of Garwood; one sister, Sylvia Goodman of Michigan; and one brother John Kallina of Houston.

Pallbearers were Anthony Kallina, Robert Schlurring, Frank Kasmiersky, Bob Raley, Billy Lehrer and Teddy T. Danklefs.

Honorary pallbearers were Harry Engrstom, Butch Martin, Frank Waliguara, Jim Dornak and Dale Hunt.
