Michael Gruber
Michael Fred Gruber was born on March 28, 1965 in Mountain View, California and passed away in Houston on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the age of 45. Mike grew up in Houston, and graduated from Strake Jesuit Prep in 1983. He graduated from Texas A&M University
with a degree in Business in 1987 and was employed by Continental Airlines for 23 years in the computer field.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years Anita Gruber; daughter Ryan Montemayor; son Zane Gruber; parents Garry and Nancy Gruber; siblings Jay Gruber and wife Kim Ashley, Neal Gruber and wife Tracy, and Gail Thompson and husband Tres; as well as numerous nieces
and nephews.
He enjoyed traveling and he visited many different countries. Mike, and his great sense of humor, will be missed by his family and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Katy, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Don Kish reciting. Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Epiphany of the
Lord Catholic Church in Katy, with Rev. Msgr. Jack M. Dinkins, Celebrant.
