IN LOVINGMEMORY of MARC BLACK, October 22, 1948 – February 8, 2011.
After a short but determined battle with cancer, Marc is now at rest leaving behind a long life of memories, cherished friends, and a loving family. Raised in Arlington, VA Marc graduated high school an All-American from the New Mexico Military Institute and
earned a degree in Finance from Texas A&M University (Class of ’71). He earned 6 varsity letters in Football (#41) and Track & Field, as well as set the A&M Javelin record in ‘71. Marc’s professional life included a 24 year career at Southwest Lincoln Mercury.
He is survived by his wife Nikki (Brenda) Black; children Tony Binetti, wife Emily, and grandson Dutch, Andrea Collins and husband Will, Diana Haddad and husband Anthony, and Michael Woronuk; brother Bill Black, wife Lynn, and nieces Mary-Coleen Beers and Megan
Eddes; sisters Andi Emrick and Melanie Barnes; and his dearest friends Bill and Tiffany Sisson, Kasey, Cody, and Kinsley, and Tracy Turner.
Friends are invited for visitation on Saturday, February 12th from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at Compean Funeral Home, 2102 Broadway Blvd. Houston, Texas 77012, with a Celebration of Life and Prayer Service to immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. A private family interment
will be held at Aggie Field of Honor in College Station, Texas where Marc can hear the yells from Kyle Field forever. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Houston Hospice (http://www.houstonhospice.org), 1905 Holcombe Blvd. Houston, TX 77030.
