Robert T. Shiels Jr.
Robert was born July 6, 1918, in Park Ridge, Illinois to Robert T. Shiels and Eunice Crabb Shiels, passed away on December 24, 2009, in Dallas.
Robert served during World War II as a Major for the US Army and the 25th Division from 1941-1945 and was awarded the Silver Star and Bronze Star. He was a member of Texas Land Steward's Society and the Salesmanship Club of Dallas in 1956.
Robert is survived by his wife, Helen Martin Shiels; brother, Eugene Francis Shiels; nephews, Robert G. Shiels and Howard E. Shiels; and nieces, Laura Frost and Emily Leeson.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at 10:00 am, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel. The interment will fillow at Restland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Nature Conservacy, Attn. Patty Garcia, P.O. Box 1440, San Antonio, TX 78295-1440.
