Pierce Humble
Friends and family of Dr. Pierce Humble will gather to celebrate his life of 91 years at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11 in Lake Ridge Chapel. Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers will host a time of remembrance and fellowship from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Dr. Humble died Nov. 8, 2010.
Pierce Albert was born June 23, 1919 in Albuquerque, N.M. He married Jewel Ayers Blevins on Sept. 4, 1993 in Lubbock, Texas. Pierce served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He graduated from Texas A&M and became a veterinarian. He retired as a veterinarian from the United States Government following 30 years of service. Pierce was a member of New Horizon Baptist Church.
Survivors include his spouse, Jewel of Lubbock; son, Albert Humble, Jr. and wife, Joanie, of Edgewood, N.M.; daughter, Ellen Seales of Lubbock; stepchildren, Mary Crawford and husband, Lim, of Lubbock and Sandra Lowe and husband, David, of Coppers Cove, Texas. He is also survived by his two grandsons, Greg Seales and wife, Kelly, of Heath, Texas, and Kevin Humble of Edgewood, N.M.; four granddaughters, Kayla Roach and husband, Mark, of Lubbock, Kori Ramirez and husband, David, of Minot, N.D., Kate Humble of Hawaii and Kacie Humble of Edgewood, N.M.; two great-granddaughters, Krisha Roach and McKenize Seales; three great-grandsons, Chase Seales, Hunter Seales and Kaden Roach; and two step-granddaughters, Jackie Mulford and Lynette Lowe. Yolanda Salas and her family, Hank Cox and his wife, Jane, and their family also survive him.
