Walter "Ron" Frazier '61 November 3, 2010 9:50 AM

Walter Ronald Frazier, 71, of 102 Gilderview Drive, passed away Monday, November 1, 2010 at his home.

Born in Dallas, Texas he was the son of the late Walter and Gracie Bowers Frazier.

Ron was a 1961 graduate of Texas A & M University where he received double degrees in Engineering and Architecture. While attending Texas A & M he was selected to be a member of the Ross Volunteers. Upon graduation he proudly served in the U.S. Army.

Ron's professional passion was Real Estate development in the Washington DC metro area. He was widely known and highly regarded for over forty years in the real estate community. During his career he was the President of the Annandale Jaycees, the Annandale National Little League, the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association, the Prince William Chamber of Commerce as well as other numerous civic interests. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father and beloved Papa to his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 47 years, Jan Simpson Frazier of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald Blake Frazier and wife, Julie of Wilmington, NC, and Stephen Bertram Frazier and wife, Lisa of Greenville; his sister, Janet Frazier Rosenberg and husband, Leonard of Dallas, Texas; and his four grandchildren, Mary Evelyn Frazier, Bradley Coleman Frazier, Laynie Grace Frazier and Anne Frances Frazier.

Services will be at 3:00pm Thursday, November 4, 2010 at The Mackey Mortuary with the Reverend Dr. Jimmie E. Harley officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45pm Thursday prior to the service at the mortuary.
