Published in (San Antonio) Express-News on June 30, 2010 Herman Hoffman HOFFMAN Panhandle, Texas-- Herman John Hoffman, 93, died Monday, June 28, 2010 in Panhandle. Rosary services will be at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Father Mieczyslaw Pizepiora officiating. Interment will be in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. Mr. Hoffman was born on December 9, 1916 in Pearson, Texas and had been a Panhandle resident since September, 1965. He married Joyce Johns on September 3, 1942 in Saspamco, Texas. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in agriculture and horticulture and was a quality manager for Pantex. He also loved gardening. His survivors include his wife Joyce Hoffman of the home, two sons - Billy Hoffman and wife June of Panhandle, Richard Hoffman and wife Debbie of Mount Verde, FL, daughter - Evelyn Hoffman Urbanosky and husband Arnold of South Lake, TX, three brothers - Kenneth Hoffman of Poteet, TX, Adolph Hoffman of Somerset, TX, Glenn Hoffman and wife Lillian of San Antonio, sister - Helen Ruth Baxter and husband David of San Antonio, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Casket bearers will be his grandsons - Vance Urbanosky, Marshall Urbanosky, Barret Hoffman, Kevin Briggs, Cody Hoffman and Wesley Herndon. Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors 314 S.
