Beaumonter Dies in Vietnam Action Dec 20
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Kelley-Hixson Funeral Home for Army Captain Jack Patrick Blake, 24, of 2755 Louisiana, Apt 6, who was killed in action in Vietnam Dec 20. Pryor N. Russell will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military grave side rites. Blake, a native of Houston, had lived in Beaumont most of his life. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a doctor of veterinary medicine degree. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth "Betsy" Balmer Blake; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Blake of Beaumont; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Cartier of Houston; four brothers, Norman Blake of Lafayette, LA, and Stephen, Michael and Jonathan Blake, all of Houston, and two sisters, Miss Erin Blake and Miss Pamela Blake both of Beaumont.
