Bio info sent by his mother
On Sept. 17,2005, my son Dr. Real Ransom was killed in an airplane crash along with his wife Cindy.
He was the pilot of a small aircraft. His engine failed and he was not able to land it because of all the tall buildings surrounding the airport. It happened at Ellington Field in Houston.
He graduated from Texas A&M in 1989 in veterinary medicine. He loved his career and started his own animal hospital. He was the founder of Great Oaks Animal hospital in Round Rock, Texas. His practice turned out to be very successful.
Real volunteered at the Grey Hound Assn. They named their charitable organization after him after his death. He also talked at schools, let children tour his facility and was very active in the community. Real was born in Houston, Texas. He worked in Jacksonville,
Texas after graduation. From there he moved to Austin where he worked in an emergency clinic while starting his own clinic. After he built it he was able to devote his time to his own work. The clinic was so successful that he was able to build a state of
the art hospital in Round Rock which is just north of Austin.
