David Allen Lawson
David Allen Lawson, 77, formerly of Angleton, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 in Houston.
David was born October 15, 1932 in Dallas, Texas to Arch and Jewel Allen Lawson. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Angleton, where he was a Deacon and special adults teacher. David was a graduate of Texas A&M College, Civil Engineering Class of 1953. In July of 1955 he married the love of his life, Patsy Baker, of Angleton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arch Lawson; and grandson, Kyle Lawson.
Survivors include his mother, Jewel Lawson; wife, Patsy Lawson; son, Kent Lawson and wife, Mina, of Sugar Land; daughter, Susan Smith and husband, David, of Dallas; grandchildren, Kevin Lawson, Kirby and Carie Lawson, Kurt and Ginger Lawson, Katelyn Smith and Luke Smith; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Lawson and Sophie Lawson.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. at Angleton Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m., June 9th at First Baptist Church in Angleton with Dr. Rodney Bowman officiating.
