Published in (San Antonio) Express-News on May 8, 2010 Joseph Perry PERRY The family of Joseph Alison Perry is sad to announce his passing on May 4th 2010. The Perry family takes great pride in Joe's contributions to 1968 Hemisfair, the Institute of Texan Cultures, and his time as a realtor in the greater San Antonio area. As Business Manager for the Institute, he was instrumental in ensuring it opened up in time for Hemisfair, as well as bringing the Texas Folklife Festival to life. He is survived by his wife Marion; children, Leigh and spouse, Edsel Beale, John and spouse, LaVella, Scott and spouse, Debbie Young-Perry and granddaughter, Emily Alison Perry. To honor Joe's memory, contributions can be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association P.O Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312, The American Heart Association 8415 Wurzbach Rd. San Antonio, TX 78229 or the Texas A&M Foundation 401 George Bush Dr College Station, TX 77840. A Celebration of his life will be held in June of this year.
