BRADY Roy Brandt Appleton, 67, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at his home in Brady. Mr. Appleton is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Baer and her husband, Neal, of League City, Shelly Williams and her husband, Jason, of Goldthwaite and Amber Long and her
husband, Bear, of Dickens; 14 grandchildren including Matthew, Hannah, John David, Emily, Kaleigh and Claire Bishop; Chase, Ryan and Misha Baer; Jacob, Sarah, Jacie and Jemma Williams and Remington Jane "Rooster" Long. He is also survived by a brother, Conrad
Appleton and wife Jamie; nephew Grant Appleton and his wife, Kym; and nephew Ryan Appleton; and sister-in-law Joyce Appleton. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents Fat and Gusta Mae Appleton; and a brother, Ross Appleton. Visitation will be from 2
p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Heritage Funeral Homes in Brady with graveside at 4 p.m. in Camp San Saba Cemetery. Mr. Appleton was born on May 2, 1942, and was a graduate of Brady High School and Texas A&M University. He married Jeannette Sorell on
Aug. 6, 1967, in Brady. He was a rancher, former teacher, owner of LandLord Real Estate, real estate appraiser and co-owner of Appleton-Youngblood Insurance Agency. He was a member of the Camp San Saba Masonic Lodge and First United Methodist Church.
