Doyle E. Thompson '43, 87, of Troy died March 7, 2009. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in Panama City, Fla. he was a farmer and stockman. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Viola; a son; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister.
