Kyle Riddle '37 January 21, 2009 12:00 AM

Kyle L. Riddle '37, 94, of San Antonio (formerly of Decatur) died Nov. 16, 2008. He was a command pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and served in the occupational forces in Germany. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1969 at the rank of brigadier general as chief of staff, Headquarters Twelfth Air Force. His military decorations include the Silver Star, Legion of Merit with oak leaf cluster, Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with eight oak leaf clusters. Survivors include his wife, Davilla; a son, Kyle L. Riddle, Jr. '82; three daughters; and two granddaughters, including Davilla E. Riddle '99.
