Roll Call Tribute

George A. Lowes, Sr. '49, 86, of San Antonio died Nov. 16, 2008. He was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. He retired from the commercial construction industry. He was a member of the Ross Volunteers at Texas A&M. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Lillian; a son; three daughters; ten grandchildren, including Erin L. (Closner) Bunting '00 and Blake W. Closner '05; 13 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, including E. Harold Lowes, Jr. '51. Memorials may be made to the San Antonio A&M Club Foundation, 6205 West Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78213-2315.
