Leroy N. Coker '84, 57, of Lancaster, Calif. (formerly of Michigan City, Ind.), died Jan. 16, 2009. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He had lived in the Antelope Valley of California for many years, working in the aerospace industry. He was a liaison engineer at Lockheed Aircraft Services in Ontario, Calif., for about 10 years, charged with correcting design errors and effecting aircraft repairs on C-130 aircraft. When the company was assimilated into the Lockheed Martin Skunk Works at Palmdale, Calif., in 1995, he went into contract labor, working on the JSF (F-35) prototype design at the Skunk Works as a contract labor mechanical design engineer, and later on other aerospace projects at other major companies. He was safety officer for the Lancaster chapter of the Harley Owners Group. Survivors include a sister.
