Roll Call Tribute

Thomas V. 'Tom' Copeland '55, 76, of Levelland (formerly of Blackwell) died April 17, 2009. He served in Korea in the U.S. Army. He was a farm manager for Post-Montgomery in Levelland until he retired in 1999. He served as a consultant until his death. He was president of the Texas Hereford Association in 1985 and of the Texas Section of the Society for Range Management in 1963. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary Nell; three sons, Thomas V. Copeland, Jr. '81, Glenn D. Copeland '85 and Lanny C. Copeland '86; a daughter, Laurie A. (Copeland) White '88; and 11 grandchildren, including Kristin M. Copeland '06, Matthew D. Copeland '09 and Courtney E. Copeland '10.
