Roll Call Tribute

George A. Vinyard '49, 81, of Floresville (formerly of Edinburg) died Dec. 18, 2008. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and again during the Korean War. He was a mortician in Houston before purchasing a funeral home in Floresville and moving there in 1956. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Phyllis; two sons, including Patrick G. Vinyard '77; four daughters, including Suzie P. (Vinyard) Warner '77, Sherri E. (Vinyard) Bull '82, and Barbara L. (Vinyard) Trevino '84; and 16 grandchildren.
