John L. Loggins
LOGGINS, Lt. Colonel John L., USAF (Ret.) of Oro Valley, Arizona passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008 after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilhelmina and Reuben L. Loggins of Blytheville, Arkansas. He is survived by his daughter,
Cheryl F. Loggins of Crosby, Texas and his wife, Louise Loggins and her children: Michelle Moore, Craig (Debbie) Moore, Mark (Jenny) Moore, Richard (Joanne) Moore, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. John was raised in Blytheville, Arkansas.
After graduating from high school, he attended Texas A & M University where he served as an officer in the Corps of Cadets. He graduated in 1957 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Upon graduating, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States
Air Force and later was qualified as an Aircraft Navigator. He spent the next 20 years serving his country at many locations, including overseas assignments supporting such military activities as the Vietnam conflict. After his retirement from the United States
Air Force, John was employed for over 15 years as a Maintenance Engineering Supervisor at the Ethyl Corporation's Plant in Pasadena, Texas. During this time he continued to show his love and respect for Texas A & M by supporting the University with his presence
and donations. John was known by everyone as a "die hard Aggie" and will be remembered affectionately by his friends and family for his dry sense of humor and his endless supply of stories. All of John's friends and family will miss him dearly..."Gig 'em Aggies".
Services will be held on Wednesday February 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the EAST LAWN PALM'S MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant, Tucson, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity, in John's name.

John L. Loggins '57, 73, of Tucson, Ariz. died Jan. 31, 2008. He retired as a lieutenant colonel from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He later retired from Albemarle Corp., a subsidiary of Ethyl Corp. in Houston, after 17 years. Survivors include
his wife, Louise; a daughter, Cheryl F. Loggins '84; four stepchildren; and step-great-grandchildren.
