Charles D. Browder '41, 89, of Houston (formerly of Dallas) died Jan. 22, 2007. He was a major in the Artillery Corps in the European theater during World War II. He received the Bronze Star. He worked for Stanolind Oil and Gas Company in Houston until 1953 when he became a petroleum consultant and independent oil operator. Survivors include his wife, Lida; two daughters; a step-daughter; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
