Donald Albert Schulmeier 

November 16, 1939 - June 18, 2026 

Donald Albert Schulmeier, born November 16, 1939, was called home on June 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy rooted in hard work, tradition, faith, and family.

Donald was a true Texas cowboy at heart. He enjoyed ranching in Pearsall and took great pride in the land, the work, and the values that came with it. He was also a proud Aggie fan and graduate of Texas A&M, where he was part of the Corps of Cadets Company E-2.

Donald was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilhelm and Lillie, and Martin and Martha; his parents, Daniel and Lydia; his wife, Barbara Ann; his daughter, Deborah; and his beloved dog, Smutsie.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; his daughter, Melisse; his son-in-law, Glen; his brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Alva; his niece, Laurie; his nephew, Brian; his stepsons, Taylor, Drew, and Brent; his cherished grandchildren, Lauren and her husband, Andrew, Brittany, Cheyanne, and David and his fiancée, Amy; as well as 13 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brian, David, Glen, Andy, Taylor, and Brent.

Donald will be remembered for his true grit, determination, strong faith, and unwavering love for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
