John S. "Jess" Succop

Jess Succop, a devoted son, brother, engineer, and lifelong friend, passed away January 31, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of integrity, intelligence, and quiet accomplishment.
Raised in Richardson, Texas, Jess graduated from Plano Senior High School in 1994. That same year, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, an honor that reflected his character, leadership, and commitment to service at an early age.
He continued his education at Texas A&M University, where he earned his degree and formed lasting friendships. After college, Jess moved to Connecticut to begin his engineering career with Pratt & Whitney. There, he contributed to the advancement of turbine engine technology and was awarded several patents for his innovative work. His dedication to precision and problem-solving earned him the respect of colleagues and peers.
Jess is survived by his father, his brother, and many friends from his childhood, college years, and professional life. He will be remembered for his friendship, his wonderful wit and humor, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him.
His memory lives on in the lives he touched.
