Gary Treviño, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away in Brownsville, Texas on July 5, 2025, at the age of 66.
Born to Jose and Rafaela Treviño on October 28, 1958, Gary was a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Class of 1982. He was deeply devoted to the Texas agricultural industry, dedicating over 40 years of his life to the field he loved. For the last 24 years of his career, he was a valued member of Helena Agri-Enterprises, where he built lifelong friendships and left a lasting impact on colleagues and customers alike.
Gary was married to his loving wife, Julie Treviño, for 37 years. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, and unwavering commitment.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rafaela Treviño.
He is survived by his father, Jose Treviño; his wife, Julie Treviño; his children, Joey (Becky) Treviño and Cristina (Robert) Treviño; and his cherished granddaughter, Mary Olivia Treviño, who brought immense joy to his life and whom he adored with every fiber of his heart. He is also survived by his brother, Jaime (Maribel) Treviño, and his nephews and nieces: Jaime, Aimee, and Carlos Treviño, as well as many other in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly.
Gary will be remembered for his deep love of family, his tireless work ethic, and his incredible talent to somehow not spend a penny. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
