Joseph Clark Pittman, 70, passed away peacefully in his home in Tucker, Georgia, June 28, 2025. Born in Oakland, California, Joseph lived a life defined by faith, service, and dedication to his family and community.
A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, where he earned his master's degree in Engineering in 1977, Joseph built a distinguished career at the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA). He served with commitment for many years, retiring in 2020 as Chief of Specifications. His professional excellence was matched by his devotion to his faith as a dedicated member of the Gideons International, where he served in numerous roles, including treasurer and camp president, sharing his passion for spreading the Gospel.
Joseph was married to his beloved wife, Brenda, from 1991 until her passing in 2019. Their enduring love and partnership were a cornerstone of his life. Known for his integrity, quiet strength, and generous spirit, Joseph leaves behind a legacy of kindness and service that will be cherished by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at Bill Head Funeral Home in Tucker, Georgia, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
