Colby Brent Fisher 

January 22, 2002 - April 17, 2025 

Colby Brent Fisher, affectionately known as “Butter Bean,” passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2025, in Bryan, Texas, at the age of 23. He was born on January 22, 2002 in Lubbock, Texas, and a resident of Fulshear. Colby lived a life full of faith, service, love, and an unmistakable joy that lit up every room he entered.

Colby was the beloved son of David B. Fisher and Amee M. Love, and a cherished brother to Calem and Cason Fisher. He is survived by grandparents Suzie Love, Ted and Jamie Love, and Bobby Fisher; great-grandmother Jeannette Love; and an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, fraternity brothers, and friends who adored him. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Carol Fisher, great-grandparents DT and Doris Killam, Vida Louis Killam, Claude Arthur Love, Mona and Keith Boyd, Great-Aunt Kay Longest, Great-Uncle Tab Love, and Uncle Damon Fisher.

A proud student of Texas A&M University, Colby majored in Political Science with a minor in Cybersecurity. While studying, he excelled in many fields, including solar sales, website design, and SEO. Colby’s drive and passion were evident in every job he took on—whether it was at Domino's Pizza, In-N-Out Burger in Katy, or most recently, H-E-B in Bryan, where he was unanimously voted Partner of the Month in just his first month.

Colby was also a devoted Volunteer Firefighter with the Pecan Grove Fire Department, living out his calling to serve and protect others. His heart for helping people was further shown through his final act of kindness—organ donation—a gift that will continue his legacy of compassion and generosity.

An active member of Alpha Sigma Phi at Texas A&M, Colby joined the fraternity in Fall 2020 and served as Vice President of Recruitment. He completely transformed the recruitment process and laid a new foundation for brotherhood grounded in faith and unity. Colby envisioned a revival among his brothers—one led by love, purpose, and service. His impact within Alpha Sig will be felt for generations.

Colby was a man of God and a true warrior for Christ. His faith was the foundation of everything he did, and his joy was contagious. He lived to uplift those around him and made everyone feel seen, loved, and important. His giant heart formed deep, lasting relationships that will forever be treasured by those who knew him.

A celebration of Colby’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at College Hills Baptist Church in San Angelo, TX. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at Eola & Mereta Cemetery in Eola, TX.
