Archie Stallings, Jr. 

November 24, 1929 - June 24, 2025 

Archie Stallings, Jr., 95, passed away on June 24, 2025. He was born November 24, 1929, in Houston, Texas.

Archie earned a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technology from Texas A&M University in 1955. He proudly served in the Korean War as a Sergeant and later built a long career as a draftsman in the oil and gas industry, retiring in 2014.

In 1969, he met Sheila Hull, and the two were married in 1979. Together, they shared a love of travel, with favorite destinations including Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, and Paris. Archie and Sheila also enjoyed frequent visits to Harrah’s and L’Auberge, where they were enthusiastic slot players.

Archie is survived by his wife, Sheila; grandchildren Amanda Kuhlman (Matt), Ginger Treuting (Blaise), Chris Grossman (Brianne), and Clayton Grossman (Grace); great-grandchildren Ethan and Hannah Kuhlman, Ignatius and Boone Treuting, and Logan and Ava Grossman; and stepson Skip Stallings.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Archie Stallings, Sr., and Sallie Ray Wilcox Stallings; sister, Alice Overton; children, David Stallings and Julie Brantley; and stepson, Mark Boyd, Jr.

A visitation will be held on July 1, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, located at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077. A Celebration of Life will follow. A committal service is scheduled to take place from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
