Robert Wayne Weaver, Sr., 72, of Porter, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025. He was born on August 19, 1952, in Cushing, Oklahoma.
Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who dedicated his life to his family and hard work. He is survived by his loving wife, Cathryn Weaver; his daughter, Angela Miller, and son-in-law, Craig Miller; and his cherished granddaughter, Bailee Weaver, along with her fiancé, James Burns. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Marie Howard; his sister, Krystal Weaver; his sister-in-law, Kari Weaver; his sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Mike Patella; his sister-in-law, Fran Swanson; his brother and sister-in-law, Von and Suzanne Williams; and his brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Ramona Howard. Robert was adored by numerous nieces and nephews, who will forever remember his kindness and generosity.
Preceded in death by his son Robert Wayne Weaver, Jr., parents Charles Wayne and Margaret Ann Weaver, and brother Donald Weaver.
He attended Texas A&M University before building a long and successful career in the grocery industry as both a store manager and sales representative. His work ethic was unmatched, and he took pride in his dedication to his profession.
Beyond his career, Robert found joy in the outdoors, especially in hunting and fishing. However, his greatest happiness came from spending time with his family. He was a strong-willed, hardworking, and selfless man who never hesitated to lend a helping hand. His generosity and unwavering strength left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held March 6, 2025 at Rosewood Funeral Home in Porter, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the East Montgomery County Fair Association.
Robert Wayne Weaver, Sr. will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on through the love he shared and the lives he touched.
