Roy Glenn Kitchens 

February 11, 1953 - November 30, 2024 

Roy Glenn Kitchens, age 71, of Orange, Texas, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024, in Orange, Texas. A private service will be held by the family at a later date. Arrangements were made under the care of Dorman Funeral Home.

On Wednesday, February 11, 1953, Roy was born to Walter and Lillie Kitchens, in Houston Texas. Roy spent his childhood in Bryan, Texas, where he attended high school and later went on to Texas A & M University. In 1972, Roy married the love of his life, his precious “Bunny”, Janet (Godwin) Kitchens. Together, they shared three wonderful children. Roy worked for many years as a Machinist. In his spare time, Roy enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and hunting, traveling, and being at home with his family, and dogs. Roy was a kind and generous man, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Roy is preceded in death by his father, Walter Glendale Kitchens.

Those left to cherish Roy’s memory are his beloved wife, Janet Kitchens; daughter, Meri Catherine Plymell and husband, Michael; sons, Michael Glen Kitchens and wife, Lauren, and Matthew Alan Kitchens; brother, John Wesley Kitchens; sisters, Rita Vernon and Kathleen Iverson; grandchildren, Phillip Plymell, Ashlyn Plymell, Blake Kitchens, Nathan Kitchens; great-grandchildren, Malakai and Maleia; and numerous members of extended family, and friends.
