Julian Stuart Smith, Jr. 

February 17, 1944 - April 14, 2024 

Julian Stuart Smith Jr., 80, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away April 14, 2024, at his home. He was born February 17, 1944, to the late Julian Smith Sr., and Betty Smith in Tyler, Texas.

Julian loved to listen to smooth jazz and read classic literature including Shakespeare, Jane Austin and Charles Dickens. He knew everything about the history of warfare and was a good friend who had lots of stories to share. Julian was a middle school teacher at Greenhill School in Dallas, TX, for over two decades, and later in life, an attorney. He enjoyed traveling and experiencing new wonders and places. He was a big fan of Oklahoma football. Julian is preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Lee Smith, and his parents.

He is survived by two nephews, and one niece, Travis Smith, Nathan Smith, and Paige Martin of Texas; one sister-in-law, Kathy Smith of Texas; dear friend, Jerry-Elizabeth Griffith; and the caretakers at the House of 3, who all became close friends of Julian.

Funeral arrangements are under the compassionate care of Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home.
