Curtis Arthur Spenrath

Curtis Arthur Spenrath, 78, passed away at home on Sunday, January 21, 2024. Curtis was born in Fredericksburg, Texas on May 7, 1945 and raised in Comfort, Texas as the only child to Mildred and Arthur Spenrath. Curtis worked his way through college, attending Texas Tech, University of Texas at Austin and Texas A & M University, earning both his undergraduate and graduate degrees. Curtis started his career as an educator with Goose Creek Independent School district and retired as an Administrator for the district.
Curtis hobbies included scuba diving, sailing and marksmanship. Curtis was an avid motorcyclist, logging many miles on his 2003 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic, with trips including the Smokey Mountains, the Atlantic Coast from North Carolina to Florida, the Gulf Coast states and a memorable visit to the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley. He also enjoyed camping trips to Garner State Park with his family and was an avid dominoes player, with a weekly game ongoing for almost 20 years.
Curtis is preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Arthur. He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Evelyn and children Christopher Nathan Frazier and wife Cyndi, Mark Daniel Frazier and Kathy Lynne Garner and husband John. Also survived by Grandson, Zachary and Granddaughters: Megan Frazier, Charlie and Sammie Frazier plus numerous friends.
Curtis favorite charities include Wounded Warriors Project, Shriners Hospital for Children, St. Jude's and local animal rescues.
