Billy W. Jones

Billy Jones, age 83, of Bivins, Texas, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 8, 2024, in a local adult care facility. He was born September 27, 1940, in Gaines County, Texas, to Luther and Lillian Jones.

Billy was retired from International Paper; he served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed watching TV at a max volume.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Claudia E. Jones; son, Clint Jones; sister, Mary Margaret Jones Mahler; and by his parents.

He is survived by his partner, Sherry Berney of Bivins, Texas; two daughters, Lorie Carroll and husband Tom of Branson, Missouri, Dawn Moon and husband Jerry of Draper, UT; sister, Susie Hulen and husband Bobby of Tyler, Texas; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews; and a host of friends.

Cremation arrangements are with Hanner Funeral Service.
