Willis Richard "Rick" McCreary 

October 31, 1956 - April 17, 2025 

Mr. Willis Richard (Rick) McCreary, of College Station, Texas, passed away April 17th, 2025 at the age of 68.

Rick will forever be known as an outstanding husband, father, brother, and friend. His wisdom and kindness knew no limits.

As a graduate from Texas A&M (Class of ‘79 and ‘82) and member of the Corps of Cadets, Rick undeniably exemplified respect, excellence, leadership, loyalty, integrity and selfless service.

He demonstrated dedication to our nation through his service in the United States Army Reserves. His various careers at Westinghouse, Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), K2Share, and the University of Texas at Arlington reflected his joy in being a life-long learner and leader.

Rick has joined his father, Willis Pearson McCreary, and mother, Tommie McCreary, in the eternal presence of our Lord.

Rick will be be remembered and loved by his wife of 38 years, Marla McCreary; three children, Katie Vazquez and husband Mauricio with grandchildren Mason and Karis; Michelle Rohrbough and husband Ross with grandchild Heath; Pearson McCreary and wife Claire; brother Michael McCreary and wife Kaye in addition to numerous extended family members along with countless others who came to know and love him.

To represent his love of Texas A&M, the family suggests wearing maroon to the celebration of Rick’s life. Services will be held Friday, April 25th, 2025 at 10am at Callaway-Jones in Bryan, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made towards the Willis “Rick” McCreary ‘79 Endowed Memorial Aggie Ring Scholarship.
