William Frank "Bill" Kordsmeier 

August 10, 1948 - November 16, 2024 

William "Bill" Frank Kordsmeier, 76, of Conway, Arkansas died on November 16th, 2024 at Superior Health and Rehab Center. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas on Tuesday, August 10th, 1948 to Leo Sr. and Dorothy Kenney Kordsmeier, he was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Bill graduated from Catholic High School for Boys in 1966, the University of Dallas in 1970 and received his PhD in Economics from Texas A&M University in 1986. He began his career as an assistant professor of economics at Hendrix College in 1979 before moving to the same position at the University of Central Arkansas in 1986. He retired as a research assistant in 2008.

In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors and was often camping, hiking or fishing. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed listening to music.

Bill is survived by his wife, Sharon Kordsmeier (Conway, AR); two sons, Matthew (Fayetteville, AR) and Micah (Durham, NC); stepson, Jimmy King (Keri); stepdaughter, Michelle Zimmerman (Ben); five step grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren; brother, John (Milwaukee, WI) and sister, Marcie (Mabelvale, AR).

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. A rosary and visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Stephen Hart at 10:00am on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morrilton, Arkansas.
