James T. Kosub, DVM 

January 15, 1948 - September 8, 2023 

James Kosub, DVM entered eternal rest on Friday, September 8, 2023, at the age of 75. He was born on January 15, 1948, in San Antonio, TX to Frank “Bud” Kosub and Otillia “Tillie” (Franckowiak) Kosub.

James served in the United States Army for 2 years. Upon discharge, he enrolled at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. He served the La Vernia community and surrounding areas for approximately 47 years, meeting their animal care needs, while working for County Line Animal Hospital.

James is preceded in death by his wife, Patti Godwin; his parents; and brother, Frank L. Kosub. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Robert Kosub (Peggy), Raymond Kosub (Liz), Elaine Moczygemba (Pelagius), Betty Friesenhahn (Philip), and Linda Reed (John); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Finch Funeral Chapel- La Vernia. A private family Funeral Mass and Interment will follow at a later date.
