December 30, 1947 - January 14, 2024 

Michael Jodeit, 76, of Sugar Land, Texas passed from his earthly home to his eternal home in Heaven on Sunday, January 14, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rosemary; daughter, Ruthie, and her husband, Tim Taft; and grandchildren Madeleine, Nathan, Isabel, and Joseph. In addition, he leaves behind two sisters, Mary Allen and Marcia Lockridge, and two brothers, Mel Jodeit and Max Jodeit.

“Mikie” was born on December 30, 1947 to Ruby and Max Jodeit. He was a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of ’69 and a proud member of the Corps of Cadets, Hellcat 9. After graduating from Texas A&M he was commissioned as a 2nd LT joining “The Few, The Proud, The Marines”. He retired as a LT Colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve in 1991.

Mike served with the Houston Police Department for 8 years later to open and operate his own residential and commercial security and fire alarm company for 27 years. In his retirement years he enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends, playing golf, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Berachah Church where he served as a deacon for 7 years.

Rosemary and her family are so appreciative of the care and love Mike received at Hoover Oaks Memory Care Facility during his last year and a half on this earth. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 26 at 11 AM at Berachah Church, 2815 Sage Road, Houston, Texas. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to one of Mike’s favorite charities, Semper Fi & America’s Fund www.thefund.org
