George Drummond Edge 

April 5, 1966 - June 17, 2023 

George Drummond Edge, 57, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, at his home in Bryan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, June 22 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan.

Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

George was born April 5, 1966, in Houston, the son of Wallace Sr. and Frances (Rudek) Edge. He worked as a security officer at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum for 26 years. He was proud to be among the original employees who began when the library first opened.

George enjoyed watching and participating in all sports, and especially watching the Texas A&M Aggies and the Houston Astros.

George was passionate about the Christmas season. He became well known for the elaborate Christmas displays outside of his home, which were enjoyed by people community wide.

George is preceded in death by his father, Wallace Lee Edge, Sr. and his brother, Wallace Lee “Wally” Edge, Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Frances Edge; brother and sister-in-law, James and Linda Edge, his brother Ronald Edge; his beloved nephews, Douglas, Matthew and James Edge; aunt, Josephine Schwartz; lifelong best friend, Michael Horcica; and numerous cousins.
