Gary D. Fletcher, Sr. 

August 3, 1934 - August 15, 2023 

Gary D. Fletcher, Sr., "Fletch" to his family and friends, and former resident of Meadowlakes, Texas, passed away August 15, 2023 at his home in Fredericksburg, Texas.  He was 89 years old. 

Fletch was born August 3, 1934 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Arthur and Rose Fletcher. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1958 where he was a member of the Texas Aggie Golf Team and Lettermen's Association. 

He later moved to Topeka, Kansas where he met and married his wife Margaret Dyer in 1959. Fletch was a coach and teacher for many years and culminated his career in education as a school administrator. Fletch loved and succeeded at golf where he won many tournaments and honors. He was a member of the Fredericksburg Church of Christ. 

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, and their children Deena Fuller and husband David, Gary Fletcher, Jr. and wife Sarah, Swift Fletcher and wife Penny, and Walter Fletcher and wife Krista. He is also survived by his brother Michael Fletcher and wife Mary Ann. Fletch has twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Fletch is preceded in death by his father Arthur Fletcher, mother Rose Fletcher, and sister Mardelle Shagool.
