Roll Call Tribute

John Wesley Hamm 

September 28, 1940 - April 10, 2023 

John Wesley Hamm, the most loving Husband, Dad, PaPa, and friend to all, joined Our Lord and Savior, on April 10, 2023, in Herman Hospital. Surrounded by his devoted wife Sheri, together 40 years, children, and grandchildren, John left us to be with God after a sudden diagnosis with stage 4 cancer. He lived a full, successful loving life. 

Born on September 28, 1940, in Houston, Texas, John was a man that touched not only his family but many friends and business associates, and lived life with a huge zest and caring for others. He was a huge success in life but was humble about his many accomplishments.

He loved his Aggies and the life they presented to him to succeed. He was most proud of his degree from TAMC, experiencing Texas A&M on campus with The Class of '62 Cadets, the Ross Volunteers, Squadron 9, and Squadron 11. After graduating from A&M, he served our country proudly as a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. 

John loved his family above all. He had five wonderful children, Leisa, Wes (Lisa), Shane (Alisha), Carolyn (Robert), Ty (deceased) with 10 grandchildren, 1 granddaughter and 9 grandsons. All were a huge blessing to him. He was so proud of their success in life and their future.

The family would like to thank the Ross Volunteers for their support at the service. The family would also like to thank the U.S. Air Force for an Honorable Officer Military burial.
