John Charles Reagor 

March 25, 1938 - April 20, 2023 

Dr. John Charles Reagor died April 20th, 2023. He was 85 years old. A visitation will be April 25th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Harrell Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone St., Llano, TX. The memorial service will be held April 26th at 2 p.m. at Walnut Methodist Church, 1153 FM 3347, Round Mountain, TX.

Born in Llano in March of 1938, John was the first of three boys born to Franklin C. and Blanche Moore Reagor. He attended Llano High School and was active in FFA where he raised prize-winning sheep and cattle.

As a member of the Texas A&M class of 1960, John studied biochemistry and was encouraged to pursue a PhD, which he completed in 1966. He was recruited to run the toxicology lab at the new Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory soon after. He was awarded Emeritus status in 2010.

John married Marjorie Ann Hyatt in July of 1961. They lived in College Station and raised two children, Rodney and Tiffany. In 2008, he retired and moved to Round Mountain to run the family ranch.

After moving to Round Mountain, John became active in the Walnut Methodist Church, where he served on the board of trustees.

John is survived by his brother Billy Harve (spouse Judy); brother Franklin Moore "Fuzzy" (spouse Mary); wife Marjorie; son Rodney (spouse James Fox); daughter Tiffany (spouse Troy Smith); grandchildren Tyler (spouse Heidi), Peyton and Kendall.
